Coverking’s Custom Coverbond 4 Car Cover is the perfect choice for vehicle owners who need protection—not only from the elements—but from minor scratches, dents and dings. The four layers that make up our Coverbond 4 Cover act together to shield your vehicle from water damage while allowing air to pass through for excellent breathability. Ideal for moderate weather protection, this cover provides both indoor and outdoor protection against UV rays, dust and pollutants and even light hail. This cover, however, is not recommended for daily users or SUV owners as this four-layered armor—while great for protecting your vehicle—tends to be a bit more bulky than other materials. To construct Coverbond 4, Coverking’s textile engineers designed two layers of meltblown polypropylene fortified by two outer layers of spunbond material. The meltblown fabric is a delicate yet strong, water-resistant layer made from tiny fibers which are melted and rolled tightly together to create a type of web that prevents water from entering but allows air to pass through. The spunbond layers, made with larger extruded fibers, provide strength and durability, while Coverking infuses UV inhibitors and water repellants directly into the fibers to make the fabric resistant against the sun’s rays. These four layers combine to produce a cushioned protection that is gentle on your vehicle’s finish. Because of its multi-layer construction, however, this cover will take up more space than other covers, but keep in mind: The bonus layer does provide more protection against scratches and dents by absorbing any shock upon contact.
